One view of the Saharawi refugee camps is seen on December 15, 2003. Saharawi people have been living at the refugee camps of the Algerian desert named Hamada, or desert of the deserts, for more than 30 years now. Saharawi people have suffered the consecuences of European colonialism and the war against occupation by Moroccan forces. Polisario and Moroccan Army are in conflict since 1975 when Hassan II, Moroccan King in 1975, sent more than 250.000 civilians and soldiers to colonize the Western Sahara when Spain left the country. Since 1991 they are in a peace process without any outcome so far. (Ander Gillenea / Bostok Photo)
